The Past Month

The past month has been busy at times and pretty uneventful at times. It's been a good month!

We had a family movie night. Acey boy hasn't figured out yet how selfies work yet ;)

Happy boy after bath time.

Aidan had Jump Rope for Heart at school and he had so much fun!

He practiced hard and won a few awards.

He had a blast!

A few weekends ago Daddy, Kevin and Tracy had a concealed carry class to go to so we got to spend the day with our favorite "Nut-Nut" (aka Henry)

That Sunday we got up and went to church.

Aidan was practicing a song called Banana Split in piano and one of his homework assignments was to make and eat a banana split. We were all excited to do this homework :)

 This is Ace's way of giving thumbs up ;)

We got to go watch Aidan preform in his music class.

Ace kept saying "Bubba, Bubba". He was a proud little brother.

Just reading together :)

The last weekend in February, we met up with Mom-Mom and Poppa in Des Moines to spend the weekend together.

First stop after checking in..Chick-Fil-A of course!!

After lunch we walked over to the pet store.

I told Aidan to turn back around so I could get a picture, that explains his funny face haha

Then we headed to the bowling alley!

This was Ace's first time to go. Look at his little shoes!!

He loved it, but grew a little impatient while he waited for everyone else to have a turn.

And Aidan had so much fun!

Every time Ace pushed his ball he would turn around and clap :)

After bowling we came back to the hotel and got ready to swim and ended the night with pizza for dinner.

On Saturday we went and had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. After that Daddy and Poppa went golfing and Mom-Mom, the boys and I went to see Kung Fu Panda 3. Also a first for Ace!

I got Ace a Sprite and he literally sucked it down, even before the movie started ha!

There was a really neat little outdoor area among all the shops and restaurants. It was so pretty out, so we decided to go on a walk around it and explore.

We met Daddy and Poppa back at the hotel and just hung out for a bit, then we headed out to dinner at On the Border, and finished the night with some yummy ice cream!

Sunday morning we had breakfast together at Ihop, then it was time to head back home.

It was a quick, but fun trip with our favorite people!!

That next week, Aidan's new piano arrived. Ace's buddy Brayden was over to play, so the little boys got to enjoy it first :)

So excited about his new piano!

We've had a couple warmer spells and we have tried to take advantage of it!

We've gone to the park a couple of times and gone for a few family walks.

This past Friday we had another family movie night and we watched Finding Nemo. It was the first time Ace had seen it and he loved it!!

Aidan's piano teacher is also Ace's Kindermusik teacher, and this past Saturday she did a special music session based on the Disney show Lion Guard.

So while Aidan and Daddy got their hair cut, Ace and I went to the music class.

He would not sit still for anything!

Saturday was also Trent and I's 5th anniversary. We had a sitter watch the boys and we enjoyed a fun night of antiquing and eating a yummy dinner out!

Sunday morning we went to church and ran a couple of errands.
