Christmas and NYE 2013

We made it home from the hospital and back into the real world. Aidan had 4 more days left of school before winter break, so Mommy, Ace and Daddy hung out at the house.

Daddy did have to go into work on Wednesday, so we had a trial run getting out the door and to school. It was a little hectic but we made it!

Aidan had his Christmas party at school. Daddy was able to go, and Aidan had the best time! They made some fun crafts and Aidan got to bring home all the fun Christmas things they had been making all month.

Aidan also got to go to our neighbor friend Ellery's birthday party. It was Star Wars themed and Aidan had a great time!

Look at this sweet double chinned boy :)

My kids!

Our first outing as a family of four was to Bass Pro...of course! Aidan had not been able to see Santa yet, so we went to visit him. Ace did not meet Santa this year, didn't think it was a good idea for a one week old to be held by Santa :/

Sissy graduated College and we are SO proud of her! Wish we could have been there to celebrate with her but we are very excited to see what the future holds for her!
Mom-Mom, Poppa and Sissy got in the Sunday night before Christmas and stayed with us until Friday. We were so excited to see them and for them to meet Ace!

We made sugar cookies and decorated them

(Think I caught Mom-Mom and Poppa a little off guard :)

My little reindeer

Our friends Brooke and Jack-Bo came over on Christmas Eve to see Ace. We also got to celebrate Daddy's 30th birthday!!

My other little reindeer :)

We went out to eat for Daddy's birthday and came home and had peanut butter and hershey kiss cookies for Daddy's "cake"

Blowing out the candles!

Opening presents

After Daddy opened his birthday presents, Aidan opened up the Christmas Eve present. The box had their Christmas pjs, The Polar Express movie, hot cocoa and marshmallows.

All ready to watch the movie :)

Christmas morning and ALL the presents. Mom-Mom tends to go a little overboard on the presents
 Opening stockings

From Santa this year, Aidan asked for a wallet, gift cards (for his wallet), a hot wheels track, bey blades, and a bey blade arena (for them to battle in)

Aidan helped Ace open his presents :)

This was Aidan's surprise present, I think he liked it!

Ace did a lot of this :)

Aidan got the game Mousetrap, we played it about 5 or 6 times and had so much fun!

We had a great Christmas week with Mom-Mom, Poppa and Sissy and we miss them terribly! This Christmas I am so thankful for my healthy, growing family. But I am most thankful for the reason we celebrate, for Christ's birth and for the ultimate sacrifice he made for me and everyone.

Yesterday was New Years Eve and Aidan was bound and determined to stay up until midnight. I wasn't so sure he would be able to do it but he did! We spent the night watching Despicable Me 2 and Cars, and ate summer sausage, crackers and cheese and finished it off with some hot cocoa. We had a fun night and Mommy and Aidan were the only one's who made it until midnight. 2013 was a great year, we definitely had some ups and downs but I feel so blessed for all God did for us this year. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us in 2014!!

This was Ace at midnight (mommy should have been sleeping too)

And Aidan was excited to celebrate!

"But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." Luke 2:19
