Thanksgiving 2013

Aidan had all of Thanksgiving week out of school and on Wednesday Mom-Mom, Poppa and Sissy came in. Thanksgiving Day Mom-Mom and I cooked and baked all day, and we all just enjoyed a nice day together.

Friday morning Daddy and I went and did a little Christmas shopping and during the day Mom-Mom, Sissy and I went and did some more shopping :)

That afternoon we met up with Poppa, Daddy and Aidan and had an early dinner then went to the candy store to fill up a few bags. Then we all went and watched Frozen. It was super cute!!

 Saturday morning we made a trip to Barnes and Noble to pick up a couple new Christmas books, and then we just hung out at the house and took some pictures :)

Mom-Mom, Poppa and Sissy headed out Saturday afternoon, we were sad to see them go but knew that we got to see them in just a few weeks.

Sunday morning we got up and got ready for church. Jasper the Elf arrived and we celebrated with donuts, of course :)This was the first year that Jasper came and Aidan was a little unsure at first but then he had fun with him. He especially liked getting to see what new place he was hiding at every morning!

We spent the next couple of weeks getting ready for Christmas.

We made a countdown chain

 and went to Kinsey Farms and cut down our Christmas tree

 We started the tradition last year of wrapping Christmas books and opening one up every night leading up to Christmas. This year we added a few more books to our collection and we now have 17! Our goal is to have 24. I figure we have 2-3 more years until our collection is complete :)

We attempted to build and decorate a gingerbread house, our first attempt was a fail, but our second...

was a success! 

(We cheated and bought a pre-built house where all we had to do was decorate it...totally worth the 

money :)

Aidan's school had a Night with Santa and we had a good time, even though it was like 90 degrees in the building!

Aidan got a new hat and his face painted 

and he did the cake walk.

 On our last weekend as a family of 3 we went and looked at lights, and went to our city's Christmas parade with our friends the Paynes. We had so much fun!

We also went to Aidan's friend Christian's birthday party at the aquatic center. Aidan had a blast and told us that for his 6th birthday he wants to have it at the aquatic center too!

 We did a lot of this...snuggle time :) Love my big boy!
